Rebecca Scheckman has more than five years experience as a Visual Storyteller for various companies, organizations, and universities.
Recently her work as Creative Director at American Prison Data Systems took her across the United States surveying incarcerated learners and administrations seeking better education options in prisons. The videos were seen by government officials and used to support education funding in two state facilities.
This past year she worked as the Cinematographer for the documentary, “21 and Done” about kids aging out of the Foster Care System.
Previously, she developed the online TV show, “The Laura Flanders Show,” as the Director and Editor. The show received syndication and developed several short documentaries.
She holds a B.F.A. from Tufts and an M.A. in Media and a Certificate in Documentary Studies from The New School. Her visual storytelling extends to other mediums such as illustration, photography and installation. Currently she lives and works in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
